Challenges

Challenges are one of the best things to happen to the scrapbooking world IMO. Just a guideline for inspiration, but everyone's interpretation will be different, which is the ultimate beauty of this craft. Here are some recent challenges I did.

This one was the contest at the Scrapbooking at Shelley's crop I went to in Brandon last weekend. I signed up for the Saturday only, which was so great to have as an option, since Sarah's skating ice show was on Sunday. It was a long day for me, I was up before the kids (Um, seriously, that NEVER HAPPENS EVER) and home after they went to bed. I got to see a few girls I know online: the ever talented and giving Thelma, the "brat' Tracy, the very beautiful and funny Gillian, and I happened to be seated with someone I met at Scrap Camp in November, Karen. I was very happy to see her, and I really enjoyed sitting with her. It was a fun day, with a lot of great and enthusiastic girls to meet and good demos to take in. I only got two layouts done. This one, and another I will show when I get a better picture. This challenge was to use the pattern paper they gave you, and the embellishments. Mine was the paper with the dolls on it, pink flowers and yellow brads.

These next were for challenges over at my home scrap forum, Love is in the Details. This first one is for Chelsea's recipe challenge, which had a bit of a challenging mixture, but i love how it turned out.

And this one is for Lisa's color challenge, red blue and white. My parents with all of their grandkids except Greg. Happy moment.

Well, check back soon, I want to get the other layout I did on the weekend posted, I love it. I have been busy completely rearranging my scraproom, and sorting thru EVERYTHING, and purging. I am setting up a basket of stuff for Sarah only, her own little stash, and I am excited to teach her, and let her use her own creativity. You can't teach scrapbooking as an art, as each person has their own natural creativity, but I will teach her techniques and see what she does with them. :)

Stay scrappy

Shanna
