I'm up and running!

FINALLY! Moved twice, lots of stress, but I am moved to southern Manitoba, new home, and new scrap room! I'll be back with pics when I've figured out how to use this Mac. LOL

Well, everyone, I have good news and bad news. Bad news is my computer bit it after almost 8 years. With Dave's new job and everything, I just can't get a new one right now. So my posts on here will be fewer, and probably far between. Good news is it frees me up for a lot more scrapping! I figure I can do a lot more scrapping and bring some things here to the library to post once in a while until we get online again. :) I enjoy sharing my work.

Sometimes I like to leave my layouts with no title. Usually the pictures speak for themselves in these layouts, but sometimes there is just too much to say. The above layout was done for Heather's Mist challenge at Scrapshotz. The requirements were to use mist and a mask, or something like it. I started with a Tim Hotlz mask and some pink mist, then some layers of rub on flourishes, then embellished the crap out of it! There were simply too many titles I could think of for this picture of Sarah that I took over a year ago, one of those shots you get when you call someones name and snap the picture as soon as they look around. I love that there is no trace of the silly faces she usually pulls for the camera, even though I love those pictures too.

Sorry for the less than great pictures, I struggle with that on a good day, and today was very cloudy.



This layout is for Chelsea's sketch challenge over at LIITD. I was going to make this one a little more rugged and dirty, given the pictures, but I decided to stick with the girly stuff, since girls get dirty too!

So can you see I'm loving the challenges lately? ;)

Whippin 'em off!

Thank you to Jess for posting this challenge at American Crafts on the Scrapshotz forum! I sat down right away and did it! They were having Sketch Week at AC, so I used Monday's sketch by Amy Tan. It was a fun one! I also incorprated Amber's challenge at LIITD to roll your paper. At first I was like "What? Really?" But it's cool! I stapled and tied a ribbon in one of my rolls!


I'm really enjoying some of the less girly layouts I've been doing. Please check out my older posts. If you go a page or two back, I posted a picture, and if you haven't yet, please tell me what you see in the picture of the clouds. I love reading people's answers. :) now, my scrap desk is EXTREMELY messy, I think I need to clean it (and the rest of the hosue) before I let myself sit down for another one tonight. I did A LOT of scrapping this week! I am not going to show them all to you, just my favorites. These were done for the online crop at Love is in the Details. You can still particiapte, until Feb 28! Starting off with a layout I did for a recipe challenge in the Love is in the Details monthly Creative Team challenges. The recipe was 2 or more different alphas, 3 or more different pattern papers, ribbon, stitching, and Kraft in any quantity. So me and the stitching are learning about each other, but I kinda like the imperfection of it on this layout. Call me crazy.





Next is the mini mixed media album that was a DT project for Magical Memories, the LSS here in Thompson. I love working with acrylic, and this little album went together like nothing! :)

BG Lime Rickey

First off, here is a non-Lime Rickey Layout, but I was very happy with it. :) I did it one night in the midst of crazy housework, trying to purge for selling the house, need to clean out cupboards and closets. I was sick of the work, so I sat down adn did this. Sometimes these are the best layouts. :)




These other two I did a few months back for the Magical Memories Design Team. I LOIVED working with the bold colors, it was different for me, who likes her pink. :)
