A few more......

Well, I finished all of the challenges from the online crop at LIITD, and kept the mojo going to do a couple of the monthly challenges. My house is a mess, but thankfully Dave doesn't complain. He "gets" it. Last week he was looking thru Jessa's chrono album and he said "Im so glad you do this". :) Me too. :) LOL

This one is for Angele's challenge to use Family Fotos, but not with your own kids! Seriously?? LOL I could have used pics from my wedding I guess, but I had this picture of me with my nephew when he was born in October. :)

This one of my nephew with his Mom (Vicki, my brother's fiance) was done for Chelsea's "You Are my Sunshine" challenge. Roddy and his Mommy the day he was born. I really really really wanted to ink the helk out of this, but I wanted to keep it bright. The edges are sanded.

This picture was taken at the Wedding show, Sarah trying on flowergirl dresses for David and Vicki's wedding. She had so much fun, we tried on 5 dresses. As we were taking off the fifth one she got a little upset because she couldn't decide so she figured she should get them all!!! Uh, no. This was for Amber's recipe challenge, although it ended up with a couple of extra "ingredients".

This one was not for a challenge, I was going to donate a canvas to the hockey club for a tournament, but when I had it almost done, Jessa came in and painted on it , all over the letters, and some on the paper, with the beige paint. I got the paint off of the letters, but there is paint on the paper that I couldn't get off of the Mod Podge, so it didn't get donated. :( It's in my own entryway. :)

I always accomplish so much at this crop, I hope I can continue to scrap. Have to get the house cleaned up this week, we are going to Winnipeg for Disney on Ice, so I want to leave it clean. The biggest mess is here in the scrapbook room though.......but it's the most fun to clean up. sigh, must go, dishes are calling!

Happy Scrapping!

Online crop

Here is what I accomplished yesterday. It was a very slow start. I only had one done by 4:30. the rest just came to me over the course of the evening.

This first one is for Amber's challenge to use 5 different pieces from your scrap stash. Well, I have a lot of junk in that trunk too, so it wasn't hard to find 5 scraps. Still love those BG frogs, I couldn't believe I still had some! I found another piece too. Wonder how long it will be before I use it. LOL

This one is also for a challenge by Amber, to use a banner (which I love but have never attempted) The banner had to have hearts. I am going to work on my banners a little more, I think.

Here is my favorite of them all. My little nephew, when he was born in October. So much fun to do a little boy, but definately challenging. No flowers?? Limited bling??? HUH????? This Fancy Pants paper is so cute though. :) The sketch from Lisa was a little challenging at first, I almost flipped it and did something else, but I really love how it turned out.

Ah, pixie cut. Nola challenged us to use hearts on our LO, but they had to be used to make something else. I use FP felt hearts to make the flower. I am wondering if I need something else under the border at the bottom, but I like the white space on this one.

And here is the first one I made, the one that took me the longest. Chelsea challenged us to create a LO that used the colors red, pink, and white. Right up my alley! Look at how much red is there compared to pink though! I find red difficult to work with, but that paper is so pretty. Those pink and white flowers were at one time, a pink flower and a white flower. Very pretty, but I had to take them apart to make them work. Dave was changing the hot water tank when I was working on this, so that might have had something to do with how long it took me.

I am hoping to get at least 5 more done today or tonight! Wanna join me??

I have booked off

Saturday on my calendar for cropping! And I get to do it from the comfort of my own home! Join us at Love is in the Details for an online crop. Never "attended" an online crop before?? Jump right in, we'll give you a hand. Start with whichever challenge calls out to you first! I'll be getting pics printed today, and I have some of my nephew to work on. That's going to be different, I usually go girly layouts. I don't have a whole lot of boy stuff, so it will be a challenge!

Here is my second canvas. Now that I finally have a bedroom comforter set, I need to make some artwork for the walls. I started with this one, I'll be making some bigger ones for the bigger wall soon. I think this still needs "something" but whatever it is, I don't have it in my stash so I'll have to keep my eye out. One thing I have noticed is I am all of a sudden all about the clouds. But I don't really have a whole lot of clouds available to me. Gonna have to get on that. Nothing like being a couple of years behind the trend, hey?

Here is the comforter

Speaking of trends in scrapbooking, CHA was last week. Lots of new reveals. What are you looking forward to?? I was impressed to see that FINALLY the scrapbooking world caught up with the Vampire craze. DCWV had this amazing display at CHA. I was thinking the other day that I wish there was a more burlesque type paper out, and I think this could be used for that. No, not for burlesque pics of me, just a thought I had. ;)

Update on acrylic storage

So at Scrap Camp in November, Jewel brought to our attention that the Bargain Shop in Roblin had these scrapbook binders. From what she described, I knew it would be perfect for my acrylic stamps. I ran out and bought the last two they had, and we both got one. Here is what I did with it:

Much better for my stamps!

I haven't been doing a lot of scrapping, but I did order some new albums in the after Christmas sales. Here they are with the layouts I had waiting to be put away!

I am having picture problems. Not enough good pictures, no camera for a while, now my new camera isn't what i would like it to be. Then there is the whole Jessa-doesn't-stand-still-so-the-pictures-are-always-blurred-and-Sarah-always-makes-a-silly-face-or-goofy-smile issue. I need about 2 solid uninterupted days to go thru my pictures. THEN I have to find a place to print them. I hate Walmart's online service. Where do you order from online and do they have a n easy editing system???? Once I get those things figured out maybe the scrapping will come more easily.

Scrappy Holidays

From my scraproom to yours, Merry Christmas

Haven't been doing much, didn't even do any projects for Christmas. :( But I did this on an old chess board that was sitting around here and I LOVE it. The picture was done at Gone Scrapping in Bloom in Rossburn by Kendra from Kitko photography and dezine. I loved the picture, it gave me goosebumps. :) I couldn't get a very good picture of this layout, or altered item, whichever category it falls in, because I have broken my camera and lost my backup. Hopefully I can get a good deal on Boxing Day.

This will be a treasured Christmas decoration for many years.

Have a great holiday season and I'll see you in the New Year.............already contemplating my One Little Word......

Door hangers

hmm, bad color on that first picture....

These were actually the first projects I did in my new scrap room. They were fun little projects.

The girls like them, and they kinda reflect the girls themselves I think. :) Thanks for looking!

Altered state

So I finally did my first canvas and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! Working on my second one right now. Feels good to break out those MM paints......

I did this one of my brother and Sarah at Scrap Camp, the only non Chrono layout I did. Easy Peasy!

And, after almost three years, I have finished my CREATE letters for my scraproom wall. I was sent these Upsy Daisy a few years ago by a friend from a scrap website, and I started these letters and they have been sitting ever since. A couple nights ago I decided to finish them, and I'm very happy with how they turned out. :)

So I have been having fun with the altered schtuff. Working on a few more for Christmas presents.......stay tuned!
