Scrappy Holidays

From my scraproom to yours, Merry Christmas

Haven't been doing much, didn't even do any projects for Christmas. :( But I did this on an old chess board that was sitting around here and I LOVE it. The picture was done at Gone Scrapping in Bloom in Rossburn by Kendra from Kitko photography and dezine. I loved the picture, it gave me goosebumps. :) I couldn't get a very good picture of this layout, or altered item, whichever category it falls in, because I have broken my camera and lost my backup. Hopefully I can get a good deal on Boxing Day.

This will be a treasured Christmas decoration for many years.

Have a great holiday season and I'll see you in the New Year.............already contemplating my One Little Word......

Door hangers

hmm, bad color on that first picture....

These were actually the first projects I did in my new scrap room. They were fun little projects.

The girls like them, and they kinda reflect the girls themselves I think. :) Thanks for looking!

Altered state

So I finally did my first canvas and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! Working on my second one right now. Feels good to break out those MM paints......

I did this one of my brother and Sarah at Scrap Camp, the only non Chrono layout I did. Easy Peasy!

And, after almost three years, I have finished my CREATE letters for my scraproom wall. I was sent these Upsy Daisy a few years ago by a friend from a scrap website, and I started these letters and they have been sitting ever since. A couple nights ago I decided to finish them, and I'm very happy with how they turned out. :)

So I have been having fun with the altered schtuff. Working on a few more for Christmas presents.......stay tuned!

A Few Good Layouts

Nothing like an online crop to get the mojo flowing. Participated in the one at LIITD from a couple of weeks ago, as well as a few of the monthly challenges. Check it all out here.

Did a couple of 6x12. Sometimes ya gotta change it up. I haven't scrapped in a while so I'm not sure what i was changing it up from, but there ya go......a little bit of skin cutting on this first one. There were 3 pictures but Jessa cut one up before I committed to it, but I like it with the two. This one was for Amber's recipe challenge.

Next, little about me. This one was for a number crop. Threw out some journalling, sometimes I find that better than thinking it out too much.

I loved Melissa's sun on her example layout for this sketch challenge soooo much that I had to copy it. I put the rub ons on and then misted and wiped the mist off of the rub ons. Loved the look!

This one was for Chelsea's sketch challenge. :) Kraft :)

Throwing this one in there, I did this one in October for a challenge I issued myself, just to create something beautiful Had a hard time getting back in the groove, but I think I'm getting on now.

And I absolutely LOVE this last one. Played with my Mom's automatic photo printer, and some pics she had of Jessa on the day of her baptism. Loved playing with the effects. I don't get many good shots of her like this.

Soon gonna post some pics of the very first things I did in my new room, the girl's door hangings. Sooooon.

Talk to me, leave a comment.

My new scrap room

I finally got it cleaned up enough to take some pics! LOL Please keep in mind that I did not choose the color, and it will probably be the last room in the house to get painted. For now, it works for what I need it to, and the door is usually closed and locked. Jessa likes to play with my stuff, and it usually ends up wrecked. Or she cuts her hair off.

Workspace

Magnetic spice jars for flowers

Ribbon storage, a few different ways

Dave made me these hangers at work, just welded steel, and I use Clip It Up clips to hang the ribbon

Some of the paints are on long narrow nesting containers turned upside down so they are raised and I can see what's in the back rows

Adhesives, pens etc

I screwed these little hooks in, they are so handy to hang my templates on. I also have them for flowers in other spots

Magnetic spice tins for buttons, sorted according to color

Projects and completed albums

Sewing machine, on my old manicure table. Works perfectly!

Clip It Up

Chipboard, felt, big bling

Cropper Hoppers with paper

Acrylic stamps. Could use a better system

Journalling and tags. Having these altogether makes me reach for them more

I love the color of my Tote-ally Cool tote. The colors in here will eventually be this blue, brown and pink

Tv, VCR, and DVD. This is where I watch Jacob and Harry

Punches, and inside the blue storage thingy is chipboard alphas

Alphas. I need to start spelling more I guess.

Ink is always handy, used the Maya Road tins to put my small Cat Eye inks in, takes Jessa a few extra seconds to get into them

Scraps

It still needs some pictures and some personalizing, but I will update on here as that happens. Please come back soon, I am going to post some layouts soon!

Be scrappy

UNhappy

Well, everyone, I have good news and bad news. Bad news is my computer bit it after almost 8 years. With Dave's new job and everything, I just can't get a new one right now. So my posts on here will be fewer, and probably far between. Good news is it frees me up for a lot more scrapping! I figure I can do a lot more scrapping and bring some things here to the library to post once in a while until we get online again. :) I enjoy sharing my work.
