Got the MOJO back

Ok, I really hate that word. But that's what it's called.
House is for sale, completely cleaned out, scraproom too. Well, not cleaned out, but cleaned up. Which means I can MESS IT UP again! :) I decided to do a few of the challenges over at LIITD for January. Read them, then sat down and began looking for pics. Stumble across.......wedding pictures. I've been married for 7.5 years. Time to do some more wedding pictures.

Mel's challenge was to remember summer, and use summer paper, and either trees or clouds. I hope this qualifies.

Next is Chelsea's Bling challenge. Hope it's enough bling. ;) I used the front of our wedding leaflet. I did this one as half of a two pager-you'll see the rest in a minute!

This one is for Cindy's no picture challenge. I used our wedding leaflet instead.

Adn here is the two together. This is the first version. I did then cheat and put a picture on the no picture one. Not sure which way I like better. Opinions welcome!

I have one more to show, but that'll be in a later post, I decided to keep this one only wedding layouts. Please comment!

Another online crop!!!

over at LIITD!! This one was a members challenge crop, for those of us who could't go to the IRL crop in Miami. :( But I got 10 layouts done! Thanks so much to Norine for arranging this, great job!
This is the challenge I posted-Frame that Smile. I asked the scrappers to use a picture of someone with a big smile on their face, and a frame for that picture.

This one was Vernette's recipe challenge. I used a pop can top as my "something non-scrappy". Yes, that's me in the picture. :)

This is for Lori's sketch challenge that she was giving out at the crop. Wish I could have been there. :(

Here is for Mia's sketch/recipe challenge. LOVED that pencil lines sketch. :)

This layout was for Amber's sketch challenge. I'm getting better at not having to have things EXACTLY like the sketch, although I have some way to go.

Ah, this one was for Norine's scallop challenge. I bought A LOT of this Fancy Pants line. Betweeen dh and I we could not think of a title that wasn't already apparent in the pictures. :)

And here is the layout I did for Chelsea's color inspiration challenge. I just bought this travel line from Little Yellow Bicycle the day before and it was PERFECT! A little out of my color scheme (ie-not pink :))but I was sure I could use it for something and I was right. :)

That's all I'm going to show you for now, but I'll be back soon with the pictures of the album I've been working on for my Great Aunt of her Grandchildren that is a surprise gift from her grandchildren. I can't wait for her to see it. :) In the meantime, Happy Scrapping, and please leave me a message. :)

Online crop at Love is in the Details

Another rockin online crop at LIITD. Here is what I accomplished. Ok, here is about half of what I accomplished. :) It was a good day. Some of the pictures are bad, sorry about that.

Hey, have you ever checked out Peachy Cheap? It's a deal a day website, and I have ordered from there. They have THICKERS sometimes, really really cheap. It's always fun to see what you are going to get.

Please drop me a line, check out my older posts if you've never been here before especially. Happy Scrapping!

Yes, I'm still here

It's been quite a summer. I didn't do much scrapping, but I'll show you some of what I did do. And I'm working on something I think I'm gonna LOVE right now.....but that will be my next post. :)

This first layout I was trying to use my sewing machine. My sewing INexpertise came shining through when I ran out of thread and didn't realize it for a while. SO I had holes from the needle, but nothing in them. I did some small ripping pieces, and I LOVED the results! One of my fave LO's. :)

The rest of these are the Layouts I did at the crop in Miami in June. It was a Love is in the Details crop, and I met the ladies I talk to online every day IRL. I didn't expect to get much scrapping done, but I did and I liked what I did. :)

I am going to try to be more faithful to both of my blogs. Check back here next week, there is an online crop this weekend and I am hoping to get SOMETHING done. Come and crop with us at LIITD!!

NSD and LIITD online crop

Ok, I am behind, so here is the best of the work I did for NSD, and the LIITD online crops in May. There's a lot to look at. :)

This layout was done for one of Love is in the Details online crops in May. Lisa challenged us to use the negative part of a die cut. Fellow Magical Memories DT member Lillian had lent me her Cricut to use while she was a way for a month (I KNOW-isn't that kind??) so I used Accent Essentials, one of my favorite cartridges, to cut the blue square and used the negative at the bottom. Then I cut a black set and layered them on the page with the blue. These pictures were taken when Greg was here visiting, and of course I had to do family pictures. All was going good, the first few were good, then Jessa realized Sarah's hair was in reaching distance, and if you look closely at the pics, you can see that a bit of fun followed. Greg was laughing so hard at the end. It made me so happy. :)

This next one was totally staged, but I love how the LO turned out. Dave is such a good sport.

This layout was from a sketch provided by Chelsea at LIITD. As I was taking this picture, I heard Liam say to Sarah "Please don't splash me, I don't like to get wet". I had to chuckle, since he was up to his waist in water and had been swimming for an hour already.

Melissa over at LIITD challenged us to use something from the junk drawer. I have to admit I am never a fan of these challenges, since I like to be sure what I am using is Acid free (or at least came from the scrap store) but I opened the junk drawer and saw a tube of those little Silverette things for cake decorating and I thought "OOOH! Bling!"

I did this LO of Greg, with a picture from his 18th birthday, for the Spring Fling crop with Magical Memories. I used a sketch from Mix it Up, and challenged the croppers to use it. I gave my "something that is Pink" Layout (see a former post) that I did for that challenge, then I also flipped the sketch and did this layout.

Lisa challenged us to use three different border punches on our Layout. I don't have three different border punches, so I used one that I do have, a precut one from Bazzill and a scallop punch cut in half to create the border on this LO. Then I used the scallop punch to create a frame for the picture.

LIITD owner Lori challenged us to create a LO where the focal point was the centre. I used this picture of Sarah holding up her shoe, I can't remember what the problem was, but she was wearing a princess dress and crown and the picture reminds me so much of Cinderella losing her shoe. I had this picture for a long time and finally made it work.

One of my challenges at the Spring Fling crop was a Recipe challenge. I had a list of things commonly used on a LO and a "condition" for each. For example, the number of different manufacturers of pp you used depended on the length of your hair and whether it was in a ponytail that day. Others depended on if you were wearing a black bra, or if you had painted your bedroom this year, and how many pets you have. This is my Layout based on the requirements I met the day I did it. I really like how this one turned out.

This was my color inspiration layout for Mel's challenge at LIITD. I love the Rusty Pickle Pirate Princess line.

This layout was for the Spring Fling again. Annisa challenged us to use a large picture, 8x10 or bigger and make it the focal point. No journalling, let the picture tell the story. Here is my Handsome Greg, from Dave and I's wedding.

And finally, my Men. Again, this picture is from our family photo session. I love it for it's casual fun. This was a scraplift challenge from the LIITD gallery, and I knew I needed a manly LO, so I went straight to Angele's gallery. I LOVE how this one turned out, and it's a straight scraplift. Thanks Angele!!!!

Since then I've mostly been working on Sarah's chrono album, trying to get caught up so I can start Jessa's, since she turned one this month. It's been a crazy busy month, but things should slow down in July. I am super excited because I am flying out of here next Thursday all by myself for a weekend in Winnipeg. The purpose of the trip is to go to a crop in Miami with a bunch of the LIITD girls, most of whom I haven't met. Really, I can't tell you how excited I am. Next post will be to show my layout for the MM DT, using one of the new BG lines! Can't wait to get to work on it!
Keep scrappin, see you soon!

FINALLY

I get to see my layout in print. That's right, if you check out Canadian Scrapbooker's summer magazine, available in stores June 1, you could turn to page 120and see a LO by Moi!
All of my scrappy friends who are also in there got their copies a week ago! I still haven't got mine, but Jan was nice enough to give me one at out Design Team meeting tonight! (She also put a couple of signs up in the store, which I ahve to say I'm pretty excited about)
Ok, I'll admit, it's not the most elaborate LO I've ever done. But the journalling is from the heart, in one of those moments when what you really want to say actually comes out on the paper. It's a true to my heart layout, and I'm so excited for the person who it's about to see it. I haven't shown it to HIM, he can see it at the store. But I am happy my very first published LO was genuine and true to my heart. :)

Check back soon for some Layouts, I have a LOT to show you from NSD and the LIITD online crop.
